Jefferson Lab, NASA Langley Research Center, & Newport News Shipbuilding collaborate each year to offer students an opportunity to hear from a speaker & a panel of 3 subject matter experts in engineering. AVID 9 Students participated this past week.

On Friday, February 16 the Miss and Mister Indian River Pageant was held. The 10 contestants did an amazing job with the entire pageant production. Congratulations to our newly crown royals: Ashley Bell, Miss Indian River 2024 and Khalil Hawkins, Mister Indian River 2024. Congratulations to the runner up winners as well! We are extremely proud of everyone!



This weekend the IRHS Model UN club attended the 47th annual ODU Model UN conference. The students enjoyed various sessions along with a dance that evening. We are very proud of our Model UN student and sponsors, Ms. Owens and Mr. Evans.
