The best class I took in high school was public speaking. It prepared me beyond taking a test. It taught me social skills that I will carry with me forever.

If you could give a shout out to a member of the faculty or staff at a Chesapeake Public School, who would it be and what would you say?
Dr.Shabazz has made a huge impact in my educational growth. He is someone that gives good advice mentally, physically, and educationally.

Please share your best advice for the rising senior class.
Stay on top of your work. Falling behind only makes things harder, so keep up with assignments, manage your time, and don’t wait until the last minute. It pays off.

If you could give a shout out to a member of the faculty or staff at a Chesapeake Public School, who would it be and what would you say?
I’d like to give a shoutout to Mr. Fedorowicz for preparing me for the future. His class pushed me to think critically, stay disciplined, and take responsibility for my work. What I learned from him will stick with me well beyond high school.

❤️ In collaboration with Project ADAM and the Chesapeake Fire Department, we’re working toward the goal of providing all of our schools with cardiac response training as well as equipping them with defibrillators. Indian River High was Chesapeake's first Heart Safe school, B M Williams Primary following right behind them! We couldn't be prouder of everyone involved.
Shout out to our nurses, teachers, and staff who are learning these life-saving skills. Special thanks to the Project ADAM team for helping us protect our school family! More Heart Safe schools coming soon! ❤️
