The Hawks held their annual Veterans Day breakfast and parade to honor their military families! The U.S. Fleet Forces Band Brass Quartet kicked off the parade with the playing of the National Anthem. 🎺

This month is a time to celebrate the diverse cultures, traditions, and histories and to acknowledge the important contributions of Native people. It is also an opportunity to learn about tribes and their cultures, and to raise awareness about the unique challenges Native people have faced and how they have worked to conquer these challenges. #CPSCelebrates

Mrs. Freehling's First Grade students had so much fun carving pumpkins today. They counted the seeds they found and measured the height of all their pumpkins.
Don’t forget, if you trick or treat tonight, think about donating a portion of your candy haul to our USO Candy Depot! Your sweet donations will go directly to service men and women deploying or returning home. Drop your treats in the box outside the office.

November 14th at 6:30 p.m. In partnership with Healthy Chesapeake, we will discuss how to make healthier food choices and how to plan meals with recipes using several ingredients on your grocery list in multiple recipes! FUN RUN!
Today our Little Hawks had a great time running during our FUN RUN! Each student ran 35 laps to help raise money for our school! Great Job Little Hawks!!

Parents will hear a presentation on Work-Life Balance while students in grades 1-8 will hear a presentation on Communication Skills & Interpersonal Interactions. The presentation begins at 6:30 p.m.

It was STEAM week in the Library. Every grade level participated in a Fall STEAM activity. We built catapults, marshmallow towers, and pumpkin walls. Our Little Hawks had so much fun creating and building!
Our Kindergarten Student's had a great time visiting the local fire station and pumpkin patch this week.
