On Saturday, Indian River High School hosted Operation Military Families! Operation Military Families allowed for our district's military families to participate in information sessions and fun activities for students.
Throughout the evening, families were able to get complimentary family portraits taken by Lifetouch, enjoy performances by the U.S. Fleet Forces Band Woodwind Quartet, eat a pizza dinner and learn about resources offered to military families in our area.
Special thanks to Captain Matt Frauenzimmer for taking the time to speak to our families and the Office of Family and Community Engagement for continuing their commitment to serving our community.
Mrs. Schauer's students earned book coins for everyone by having great attendance during the month of March. They all got to go to the book vending machine and trade in their earned coin for a new book.

We want to congratulate and thank Mrs. Shedd and our GFE Select Chorus members who represented GFE and CPS well at this past Saturdays All Virginia Elementary Select Chorus coral concert. You made us all Gator Proud.

Career Day with some of Mrs. Wolff's students.

Mrs. Benedict’s had a special guest on Career Day, Mrs. Hatcher. She is a mother/baby nurse who showed how to care for babies. The students had a lot of fun learning how to swaddle, change a diaper and cloths. They even raced each other to see who could do this the fastest.

Mrs. Chirgwin's class enjoyed their "Coin Cafe" today. They used coins to purchase snacks during their special lunch.

Miss Stafford's class loved getting to show off their science projects today! After learning about natural resources and how to care for our planet, students went home
and created something new out of recyclable materials, then brought their creations in to show off. So much creativity!
