Ms Bottum's 3rd grade class partnered with the Virginia Beach Animal Care Center off Birdneck Road the first week of June to write persuasive letters acting as the animals looking for their furever home. Every year, this is a success with animals leaving their shelter to be with their new family, reinforcing students what persuasive writing is, and helping students understand their writing is powerful and can help the community!
