We're so proud to share this incredible story from Western Branch Intermediate! Fifth-grader Elias Faroul was recognized this morning by the Chesapeake Police Department for his extraordinary bravery. Earlier this month, when his mother went into anaphylactic shock, Elias calmly called 911, clearly communicated the situation, assisted his mother, and kept his younger sisters calm until help arrived. For his quick thinking and remarkable composure, the department awarded Elias with both the Life Saving Assistance Award and the Chief's Award of Recognition in front of the entire 5th grade. #CPSCelebrates #InspireCPS
