Great things are “crust” around the corner at Great Bridge High School! 🍕
🧑🏼🍳 Last week, we had a “slice” of excitement at GBHS as they celebrated their brand-new pizza oven launch! Thanks to a generous grant and some dough-raising efforts, the culinary program turned their vision into a delicious reality.
After months of preparation and “kneading” perfection, Chef Kathleen Parker and her student chefs tossed into action, serving up piping hot pizzas to faculty and staff. Hats off to their great work! 👩🏾🍳 GBHS is really raising the bar on tasty learning!

🤖 Yesterday, we visited Southwestern Elementary to see students coding with their new Dash Bots! Thanks to a grant from the CPS Educational Foundation, students are diving into coding during #HourOfCode for Computer Science Education Week. Their excitement was inspiring! 💻

Fairy Tale Fun! These creative minds are turning stories into STEM reality!
After reading some classic tales, students at Greenbrier Primary School designed and constructed chairs for the three little bears and built towers for Rapunzel. 🐻🏰

Celebrating the Spirit of Giving 🎄✨ #CPSCelebrates #InspireCPS
Yesterday, select students had the opportunity to attend the Kidz Kruz event at Oscar Smith Middle School, where they experienced a magical start to the holiday season.
The day was filled with exciting activities: students participated in holiday story readings, played bingo, sang along with the Deep Creek High Chorus, crafted beautiful snowflakes, participated in a fun dance-off, and even got to meet Santa! 🎅 They also enjoyed delicious pizza from Frank's in SoNo. 🍕
Before the event, students created wish lists of items from Walmart. Thanks to our teachers, these gifts were purchased, wrapped, and presented to the students, making their holiday wishes come true.
Kidz Kruz continues to be a joyful and heartwarming event for our students. We extend our deepest gratitude to our wonderful partners at the JCA Foundation, whose mission is to inspire children to understand the true joy of giving back- hoping that one day, they too will carry forward this generous spirit. ❤️
