Thanks to our Science Supervisor and Coordinators, the WBP 1st Grade Team had an opportunity to experiment with Lego Spike kits today! They are equipped to use these tools with students as we move into teaching Physical Properties and Motion and Energy units in the 2nd quarter.

Special Shout Out to these Baby Bruins who were rewarded today with a special trip to the Book Vending Machine for "Being a Bruin" in the month of October. Way to go! #WeAreBruins





We will hold a Veterans Day Donut Event on November 8th from 9:00 AM-9:30 AM. We are inviting 1 family member who is a Veteran per student. The student will be allowed to enjoy a donut with their Veteran. You must register and sign up for the event in advance. The deadline to sign up is November 1st. On the day of the event, we will start handing out visitor badges to our Veteran guests at 8:30 am in front of the school. Guests will be admitted into the building at 9 AM. Please bring a photo ID. We are looking forward to seeing our students and their Veterans on November 8th!

Earlier this month, Mrs. Kerner made these suns for Hispanic Heritage Month. Students looked at examples of artwork from Metepec, Mexico. The Metepec Suns are a very recognizable form of Mexican Folk art. They have faces and colorful rays & are usually used as a wall hanging.
