🤖 Yesterday, we visited Southwestern Elementary to see students coding with their new Dash Bots! Thanks to a grant from the CPS Educational Foundation, students are diving into coding during #HourOfCode for Computer Science Education Week. Their excitement was inspiring! 💻

You can be Santa, an elf, reindeer, toy, tree, etc. December 18 - What Not to Wear Wednesday - Wear your ugliest sweater. December 19 - Christmas Character Day - Dress as a character from a Christmas movie or cartoon. December 20 - Night Before Christmas - Wear your coziest (school-appropriate) PJs!  Festivity is key!

We had a magical time today with Sheriff David Rosado! 🦸‍♀️🦸‍♂️ His anti-bullying show, "Be a Hero, Not a Zero" was both entertaining and educational. Our students had a blast and learned how to be upstanders, not bystanders. 💪

She’s the science point of contact, mentors practicum students and a student teacher, and leads programs like Girls on the Run and after-school tutoring. Katie believes in empowering her students by making them feel valued and supported every step of the way. ❤️ Her kindness and collaborative spirit shines in her teamwork with colleagues, where she’s always sharing resources. As a leader, mentor, and role model, Ms. King inspires both students and staff every day.
