We are excited to offer our first annual "Camo-Que" fundraising event in partnership with Hickory High School's activities for the Month of the Military Child (April)! This event will not only allow our families to pick up delicious BBQ dinners on Wednesday, April 30. It will also help raise funds for the Fallen Soldier Memorial at Hickory High and our Student 2 Student organization, which supports new military-connected students moving into the Hickory High School zone. Mrs. Foster and Mr. Habits classes went to the Norfolk Tides today to learn about the business and marketing with the baseball team. Then they got to catch a game on this beautiful day!

Spanish 5 students in Sra. Whatley’s class had 15 minutes and access to limited tools to create their own masterpieces and then explained the process, motivation and purpose of their work. Think like the cooking show Chopped but with art. Then the Spanish 3 classes voted for their favorites!

Spanish students from Sra. Whatley's class and Culinary students from Mrs. Evans’ classes worked together to make a tortilla española. Sra. Yates was the guest judge!

Public Speaking enjoyed a week of engagement that began with practicing communication skills to complete a task while facing the opposite direction of a partner and ended with an awards ceremony that involved collaboration with four other HHS classes.

HHS Orchestra Spring Trip/ Competition in Atlanta this weekend! They won first place in their division and overall Grand Champion of all of the competing Orchestras! Congratulations!

The following athletes were honored at tonight’s School Board meeting: Peyton Worman - 2nd place in the class 5 individual state diving competition Abigail Maniace - 3rd place in the class 5 individual state diving competition Jonathan Baum, Tristan Fancher, Zachary Schubert, and Tyler Trago - 1st place in the Class 5 Individual State Championship in the 4 x 800 Meter Relay Race Congratulations!
