Congratulations to both the boys and girls swim teams on a great job at the 5A regional swim meet. The girls finished 11th and the boys finished 4th overall. Tyler Swartz finished 3rd in the 200 individual medley and 2nd in the 100 butterfly, Troy Salpeter finished 1st in the 100 breaststroke, and the 400 freestyle relay consisting of Ian Garth, Braden Krum, Tyler Swartz, and Troy Salpeter finished 1st. The following athletes will be competing at the state swim meet: Troy Salpeter in 2 individual events and 2 relays, Tyler Swartz in 2 individual events and 2 relays, Ian Garth in 2 individual events and 2 relays, Braden Krum in 3 relays, Cooper Swartz in an individual event and a relay, Bryan Syvertsen in a relay, Logan Garth in a relay, and Ari Morrozoff in a relay. Let’s make this a winning streak! DCHS is competing against WBHS again for the annual CEREAL WARS! We need your help! Please donate unopened boxes of cereal to room 408 between February 10 and 14. This friendly competition will benefit local food banks.
The goal is 2,000 boxes!

Deep Creek's after school study hall and make up testing center program will resume this Tuesday February 11, 2025 at 4:00. Students must be on time and must have something to work on while in study hall. Buses will be provided and students do not have to sign up to attend.

This past Saturday, Deep Creek High School’s Mu Alpha Theta, the school’s math honor society, showcased their mathematical talent at a prestigious competition held at Christopher Newport University. Competing against some of the brightest minds in the region, the team demonstrated their dedication and skill.
A standout performance came from senior Anthony Tran, who placed an impressive 5th out of 200 students in the individual competition round. His achievement highlights not only his exceptional problem-solving abilities but also the strength of Deep Creek’s math program.
Congratulations to Anthony and the entire Mu Alpha Theta team for their hard work and success at the competition!

The Boys team beat great bridge 99--70 finishing the season undefeated and the official South Eastern District Champions for the 2024-2025 Season. AP Government students toured Washington, D.C. this past weekend to explore federal government! They visited the Supreme Court, FBI Headquarters, Ford's Theater, National Museum of African American History and Culture, the Capitol, and the major memorials and monuments.











Congratulations to the Varsity Boys Swim Team on their win over Nansemond River Tuesday night, 108-62. The team is ranked 1st in the South Eastern District and are going into the last meet of the season undefeated for the first time in school history. They take on Great Bridge, who is also undefeated, this Saturday at 1pm at GBSRC. Come out to support both the boys and girls team and celebrate our seniors!
