About the ASVAB Test

The ASVAB is a multiple-choice test that measures a person's aptitude in four areas: verbal, math, science and technical, and spatial. The test includes nine subtests, such as Arithmetic Reasoning, Word Knowledge, Paragraph Comprehension, and Electronics Information. The ASVAB is given to students in grades 10 through 12, and is also required for enlistment in the U.S. Air Force.

The ASVAB helps identify which military jobs a person may be best suited for, and whether they are eligible to enlist. It also helps people find careers that match their strengths and interests.
