Our Chesapeake Virtual Academy (CVA) is proud to offer fully online courses to students enrolled in Chesapeake Public Schools. Serving students in grades K-12, CVA offers a wide range of core and elective classes, including Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment courses, and provides special education services for students with disabilities, gifted enrichment opportunities, and services for English language learners.
Applications are now being accepted for the 2024-2025 school year. Students remain connected to their home schools and may participate in all sports, clubs, and extracurricular activities. The 2024 theme — The Heart of Education: Our School Board — acknowledges that the school board is at the heart of the education system, guiding it with kindness and care. The month-long observance is an opportunity to build a stronger understanding of the crucial role school boards assume in a constitutional republic.
