Our Chesapeake Virtual Academy (CVA) is proud to offer fully online courses to students enrolled in Chesapeake Public Schools. Serving students in grades K-12, CVA offers a wide range of core and elective classes, including Advanced Placement and Dual Enrollment courses, and provides special education services for students with disabilities, gifted enrichment opportunities, and services for English language learners.
Applications are now being accepted for the 2024-2025 school year. Students remain connected to their home schools and may participate in all sports, clubs, and extracurricular activities. Second grade classes recently took part in a science lab building vehicles to relocate animals after a disaster. Students connected the vehicles via Bluetooth to their Chromebooks to operate them remotely with coded instructions. A big shout out to Adrienne Sawyer, Supervisor of Elementary Science, for coming to BMW and helping out.
