Meet our Administrators . . .“Better Together!”

Dr. S. Kambar Khoshaba is currently serving his eighth year as principal at Western Branch Middle School. Born in Newport News, Virginia, Dr. Khoshaba has spent his entire career in Chesapeake Public Schools as a school psychologist, special education teacher, wrestling coach, and building administrator. He has published several articles in the Principal Leadership magazine on the topics of equity, student leadership, and school culture. Dr. Khoshaba has also facilitated numerous workshops on these same topics at the local, state, and national levels. Under his leadership, WBMS has been designated as a National School to Watch, as well as being a multi-time recipient of the Purple Star award for supporting military-connected students. In 2019, Dr. Khoshaba was recognized as the Administrator of the Year by the Virginia Student Council Association. Most recently, he was recognized as 2021 Outstanding Middle School Principal of the Year of Virginia by the Virginia Association of Secondary School Principals.


Mrs. Jodi Howell is currently in her 27th year as an educator and is proud to be a product of Chesapeake Public Schools.  Prior to becoming an assistant principal, she taught at the elementary and middle school levels with English being her primary content area. She believes that having positive relationships with students is vital for academic and personal success.  Currently, she is serving her fourth year as an administrator at Western Branch Middle School and is extremely proud to call herself a Bruin.

 

 

 

 


Mrs. Kathy Clifford, Assistant Principal

Mrs. Kathy Clifford has been an educator for the city of Chesapeake for 26 years.  This year she will serve as the eighth grade assistant principal. In her previous teaching experience she taught mathematics at the middle school level.   She is a proud graduate of Virginia Wesleyan University and George Washington University.  Mrs. Clifford believes that all students can achieve success and it’s her responsibility to guide and support them to reach their goals.  She’s excited about her second year in Bruin Country!

 

 

 

 


Mrs. Stephanie Galloway has been an educator for 25 years.  She has proudly served 19 of those years with Chesapeake Public Schools.  She is a graduate from Old Dominion University and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.  With 16 years of experience as an assistant principal, Mrs. Galloway joins Western Branch Middle School as the grade 7 assistant principal.  She has a strong passion for children and is dedicated to ensuring they are equipped with the right tools to become successful students and well-rounded citizens. Mrs. Galloway is thrilled to have the opportunity to join the Bruin Family.
