Western Branch Middle School was recognized by The National Forum to Accelerate Middle-Grades Reform. Through its Schools to Watch® (STW) program, the Forum has developed the following criteria for identifying high-performing middle-grades schools: High-performing middle schools are academically excellent; High-performing middle schools are developmentally responsive to the unique needs of the middle school-aged student; High-performing middle schools are socially equitable; and High-performing middle schools incorporate organizational structures.
Western Branch Middle is very honored to have been designated in 2018 as a National School to Watch. This designation must be renewed every three years to show continuous growth in the four areas.
