WBMS Bruin Excellence

Congratulations to Amir Marshall for his ambition with bringing his artwork to life.  He plans to create a tv show around his creation, “Dreamstone,” which involves a battle of good vs. bad.  Way to go, Amir!

Mrs. Gilchrist and Ms. McKinney’s 6th grade science classes researched different plant and animal species that inhabit the Chesapeake Bay. In groups, students created a Tri-fold with 3 facts about 3 different plant species and 3 different animal species. They displayed the tri-folds in the main hall. They were then asked to write down 4 facts about different plants and animals that they did not research in their group!  Click picture for sample of worksheet used.

Come one, come all! Each week, 8th graders who have no demerits can enjoy our Friday with Friends activity in the auditorium before school. Students enjoy BYOD and socializing in a positive environment.
