Parental Controls can be an effective way of monitoring your child’s browsing habits and internet usage as well as a means of controlling what they can see. There are many different tools available to parents to keep their child safe on the internet. One such tool is Google SafeSearch. This is an internet browser tool that will block and filter websites and images that are too mature for children. By selecting the search settings in Google and clicking SafeSearch in the settings (be sure to click SAVE), explicit content will be blocked. In addition to using Google’s content filter, your device also has parental controls. You can use these controls to block specific websites. To keep your child safe on YouTube, you can use restricted mode in YouTube on each device your child uses. Google also has a free app called Family Link to help parents keep their children safe online.
