Chesapeake Public Schools is proud to join school districts across the nation during the week of November 8-12, 2021, to celebrate National School Psychology Week and highlight the important work school psychologists and other educators do to help students thrive.
This year’s theme is “Let’s Get in G.E.A.R.”. The theme’s acronym, (G)row (E)ngage (A)dvocate (R)ise, provides a challenge to grow both personally and professionally. It encourages us to engage in best practices and advocate for children’s access to mental health and learning supports. To rise implies resilience and renewal despite the challenges of the past.
Chesapeake Public Schools shares in the hopes of the National Association of School Psychologists (NASP) to connect with students and staff to highlight how focusing on possibilities can help lead us to our goals, our interests, and our positive growth.
Please thank your school psychologists for nurturing growth and resilience in our students and staff!
