Attendance Matters
As we start a new school year, we’d like to remind you of the importance of your child’s regular attendance. We know that your child’s academic success is directly correlated to their regular attendance in school. We also know that students need to miss school occasionally. If your student needs to miss school, you can report the absence using ParentVue.

Parent Drop Off and Pick Up
If your student will not ride a bus to school, please adhere to this student drop off/pick up plan:
Arrivals
Parents who elect to drive their child to school can drop off students as early at 7:15 am at our back-cafeteria doors. To ensure that our traffic pattern runs smoothly, we ask that parents do not park and remain in their cars. For your child’s safety, please have the child positioned on the right side of the car and remain in the car until a staff member can assist them.
When dropping students off in the morning come down Park Avenue and turn left on Perry Street. Follow Perry down around the baseball field and through the school parking lot. Pull through to the corner of the building where staff will greet you and help students out of vehicles.
Dismissal
We will begin our dismissal procedures at 2:04 pm. Parents who elect to pick up their child should remain in their cars using the same traffic pattern as for arrivals. Students will exit our building from the back-cafeteria doors.
When picking students up after school follow the same directions as dropping students off and staff members will escort your student to the vehicle for dismissal.
Students who ride the bus will be dismissed as early as 2:04 p.m.
If you need to enter the building, please make an appointment and contact the main office at 757-494-7585.
