Our nursing team, led by Mrs. Trudy Jelderks, ensured that all of our health and safety protocols were in place by the time our first students returned to our buildings, they developed and maintained thorough contract tracing protocols, and when the time came, they were there to quickly provide the first vaccines available to teachers in Hampton Roads.
Goal 3: Environment
Even when some of our traditional opportunities for community involvement had to be limited to reduce the potential spread of illness, Taylor Grissom coordinated area churches and other local community organizations to provide additional support for our families during their hour of need.
Goal 4: Community
We take immense pride in the success of our students and schools across our district. That’s why we want to say “thank you” to the people who embody the Pride of the Peake by contributing in extraordinary ways. Are you proud of a Chesapeake Public Schools employee, student, or community member who goes above and beyond? Just click on the “Nominate someone” button to tell us about someone who deserves to be celebrated as the Pride of the Peake. We welcome suggestions from students, families, employees, or community members.
