Welcome to Chesapeake Public Schools College Readiness Department.  Our department seeks to inspire, engage, and empower all students to reach their career goals through exploration and education. We offer courses, pathways, and programs to help students earn their high school diploma while also earning college credits and industry certifications. This department works with the School Counseling Department to support  and prepare students to be college and career ready.

Spring 2025 AP Testing

All AP students enrolled in Spring 2025 AP courses must register and pay for AP tests by March 12, 2025. View this informational flyer to learn more. Students with extenuating circumstances may apply for a financial waiver for exam fees.

Pursuant to the Code of Virginia section 23.1-204, Chesapeake Public Schools would like all high school students and parents to be aware that postsecondary education and employment data is published annually by the State Council of Higher Education.
