Impact Aid Cards

Help us collect impact aidFederal Impact Aid is designed to assist local school districts that have lost property tax revenue due to the presence of tax-exempt federal property, or that have experienced increased expenditures due to the enrollment of federally connected students.  Impact Aid Cards will be distributed to all students on Tuesday, October 18th.  Please complete the cards, sign, date, and return to Oscar Smith by Friday, October 21st.   Thank you!

Visit our district website for access to menus, meal prices, and other important school nutrition information. You can also see our latest School Nutrition News e-fliers online.  Reminder: All meals are free at Oscar Smith High School for the 2022-2023 school year.

Tigers’ Den Study Hall

Tigers' Den Study Hall, Oct 4th - June 10thThe Tigers’ Den Study Hall will resume on October 4th in the Media Center.   The study hall is open to all students and will be available: Tuesday and Thursday from 4pm – 4:45pm and Wednesday from 8am – 8:45am.  Bus transportation will be provided for the Tuesday and Thursday after school sessions.  A pass from your teacher is required for the Wednesday 8am session.  Please contact Mr. Edwards () for additional information.

2022-2023 Teacher of the Year

Smith High School 2022-2023 Teacher of the Year!!  Mrs. Frugard is an alumni and has taught here for 21 years.  An excellent teacher and always a positive influence on students and faculty, Mrs. Frugard is as devoted to Oscar Smith and the students as anyone can be.  Please take a moment to read the full release.

The Apex Literary Art Magazine

The Apex Literary Art Magazine is a publication of student work in literature, graphics, art, and or photography, grades 9-12 at Oscar Smith High School.  The first online edition is available now.  We hope you enjoy and appreciate all the hard work that went into this publication.

Voluntary Student Insurance

Parents are now able to purchase VOLUNTARY Student Accident insurance for your child for the 2022-2023 school year.  This insurance covers your child while attending school or any school sponsored event in case of an injury.  This voluntary insurance is not just for athletes and participation in sports.  Additional information is available on the District Athletic Site.
