The IRHS School Counseling/Guidance Department is in the process of planning/scheduling for the 2025-2026 school year.

 Counselors will be working individually with students or in small groups to determine appropriate academic placements. In March, course requests will be available on ParentVue and StudentVue and changes can be submitted at that time. 

Please see the various documents and information links below. If you have any questions, please take note and speak to your school counselor when he or she meets with you. Pay special attention to the respective school/grade level information and deadlines

Please do not call or email Guidance regarding schedule changes for Semester 2 of the current year.   All schedule changes requests should go through the Google form: Schedule Change Requests 2024-2025

IMPORTANT DATES:

• January 2025 - IRHS School Counselors will schedule current 11th graders

• January 8, 2025 - Chesapeake Virtual Academy (CVA) applications go live (closes March 10, 2025)

• January 8, 2025 - 8th grade Scheduling Night at IRHS at 6:30pm in the IRHS auditorium

• January 16, 2025 - Chesapeake Career Center (CCC) will meet with current IRHS 10th and 11th graders 

• January 16, 2025 - CCC Open House at CCC 5pm - 8pm

• January 16, 2025 - CCC application goes live at 8pm

• February 2025 - IRHS School Counselors will schedule current 9th and 10th graders

• March 6, 2025 - Course Requests letters with classes listed will be posted in ParentVue and StudentVue for parents to review

• March 10, 2025 - Deadline to make course request changes
