In accordance with Virginia's mandatory immunization regulations (Va. Code § 32.1-46), Chesapeake Public Schools requires all students to be immunized. Find comprehensive information on required vaccines, exemptions, and submission procedures here.

Immunization Requirements

Families may need to update medical documentation on file prior to their child's seventh and twelfth grade years.
Documentation of these immunizations must be submitted before the first day of class.

VACCINE CLINICS

To support our families in meeting Virginia's immunization standards, Chesapeake Public Schools collaborates with the Chesapeake Health Department and local community partners. These partnerships enable us to host accessible immunization clinics, making it easier for families to obtain necessary vaccinations and ensure their children are ready for school.

Community Vaccine Clinic

We host community vaccine clinics, open to Chesapeake residents, with free vaccinations available. Pre-registration is required to secure an appointment.

School Day Vaccine Clinic

We offer school day vaccine clinics within our schools, specifically for targeted student groups, to help them meet state immunization requirements.

School Entrance Physicals

Students enrolling in CPS must provide documentation of compliance with Code of Virginia for physical examinations. Please review 🌐Va. Code § 22.1-270. Preschool physical examinations.
