The goal of the Curriculum and Instruction Department is to ensure equitable readiness for college and careers to all students in our division. We provide a variety of resources to support the Chesapeake Public Schools professional learning community. Our primary objective is to support our division’s strategic goal of ensuring rigorous educational standards. Through collaborative efforts with our schools, we provide guidance, feedback, and resources to the teaching and learning process. A strong emphasis is placed on researched-based instructional practices, ongoing assessment, and differentiation of instruction that promotes creative problem solving, social-emotional learning, and academic excellence.
