Since the day the doors opened in 1967, countless Chesapeake students have developed skills and began their careers in the halls of the Chesapeake Career Center. We are proud to operate the oldest career and technical school in the Commonwealth. The time has come to reimagine Career and Technical Education (CTE) opportunities provided by Chesapeake Public Schools.

Our goal is to expand our Career and Technical Education course offerings at a new, state-of-the-art facility that will allow us to expand our current programming and meet the needs of our local and regional workforce. Our proposed model, the Career Academies of Chesapeake, will provide six new career pathways for students to choose from that will allow them to earn industry credentials and graduate workforce-ready.
