Regularly scheduled School Board meetings are held at the Chesapeake School Administration Building, 312 Cedar Road, in the multipurpose room beginning at 6:00 p.m. Please refer to the approved meeting schedule on our web calendar.

A copy of the full agenda will be available the Friday prior to the meeting on BoardDocs. A copy will also be available in the office of the Clerk of the Board, 312 Cedar Road, or by calling 757-547-1047.

Citizens are welcome to attend meetings and may address the board during the Hearing of Citizens portion of the meeting. Speakers will have up to three (3) minutes to address the School Board.  Citizens will be notified of their allotted time when the meeting begins.  To request time to speak citizens may:

1. Call the Clerk of the Board’s office at 757-547-1047 before 12:00 p.m. the day of the meeting.

2. Sign up to speak prior to the start of the meeting. All in-person requests to speak must be submitted to the Deputy Clerk five minutes prior to the published meeting start time. Example – 6:00 p.m. start – – Completed form submitted to Deputy Clerk by 5:55 p.m.

CPS partners with Chesapeake Television to broadcast all School Board meetings live online and on television through Cox Cable (Channel 48) or Verizon FIOS (Channel 43).
