Ms. Terre Werts, Principal

Ms. Terre Werts is in her second year as principal at Chesapeake Center for Student Success. Ms. Werts has 26 years of experience in education, all with Chesapeake. She has served as a classroom teacher, assistant principal at Western Branch Middle School, interim principal at Western Branch Middle School and principal at Indian River Middle School. Ms. Werts is excited to return to the school where her career began and is looking forward to this new opportunity. Ms. Werts wants to ensure that all students reach their potential and experience academic and behavioral success. 

Mrs. Dolores Gabriel-Ledbetter, HS Assistant Principal

Mrs. Dolores Gabriel-Ledbetter has been at the Chesapeake Center for Student Success since its inception at the start of the 2019 school year.  Mrs. Gabriel-Ledbetter began her teaching career in Halifax Nova Scotia at the elementary level for 10 years.  As fate would have it, she got married and consequently moved to the Virginia area. This marks the 24th year in the field of education, while in the United States.  Mrs. Gabriel-Ledbetter is always hopeful that this will be the best year yet,  as she desires to be influential in changing the lives of everyone that she comes in contact with.  She believes....
