Congratulations Mrs. Nysheena Kello

Encouraging, servant’s heart, inspiring, tenacious, impactful. These attributes define Nysheena Kello, who is a stellar educator and our Chesapeake Career Center’s Teacher of the Year. Since 2020, Mrs. Kello has called CCC home. She is a cheerleader for all of our students and programs, a beloved faculty member, and pillar in the community. 

Mrs. Kello goes above and beyond preparing students for success in the workforce. She provides rigorous theory based instruction and provides practical skill-based experiences for students. Her reputation precedes her in the Pharmacy field that her students are well prepared when they attend their internships. 

Her direct impact on student life at Chesapeake Career Center is hard to overstate. Mrs. Kello models the Cyclone Spirit with kindness, grace, and inclusivity in all she does at and for CCC. Her dedication to the community is evident as she volunteers with her students to participate in the Drug TakeBack program and at Buffalow Family and Friends alongside our Cosmetology students. She attends every event CCC holds. She truly embodies what it means to be a Cyclone.
