Program Name: Criminal Justice I and II

Students examine contemporary issues in the criminal justice system. This course provides a foundation for careers as lawyers, as forensics specialists, and as law enforcement and corrections officers. Contextual instruction and student participation in co-curricular career and technical student organization (CTSO) activities will develop leadership, interpersonal, and career skills.

Students will have the opportunity to go on exciting field trips, where they will witness real world applications of what they are learning. This hands on experience allows them to explore careers in law enforcement, legal services, or forensic science just to name a few. The knowledge gained from this class will set students on the path to pursue a degree or career in criminal justice. By the end of this course, students will be prepared to make informed decisions about their future while gaining a deeper appreciation for the justice system.
