ABOUT THE EVENT

We are excited to present the 2nd annual Operation Military Families event! This is an opportunity for active-duty and veteran military families throughout our district to come together and gather information and resources specific to military culture and Chesapeake Public Schools. Informational sessions will be hosted for parents and students in all grade levels.

  • Helping Your Family During Post-Deployment
  • Parent Focus Groups
  • Higher Education Funding
STUDENT INFORMATION TOPIC SESSIONS INCLUDE:

  • Preparing for a Parent’s Deployment
  • Stress Management
  • Peer Pressure
  • Handling Feelings

Our high-school National Honor Society students will be on hand to help escort our elementary students to their sessions so that parents are able to attend the sessions of their choosing.
