Principal’s Message

Dear Norfolk Highlands Families,

I am so grateful to be your Principal at Norfolk Highlands Primary School. This community has welcomed me back with open arms, and I am so thankful to be a Brave again! This neighborhood is a very special place, and I am so proud to be a part of it.

I have been in education for over 20 years and have spent 11 years serving primary students as a teacher and instructional coach. I believe that our youngest students have very bright futures and our staff is expertly trained to support their academic growth, socio-emotional well-being, and foster a lifelong love of learning.

We have worked hard to prepare for a fun and successful school year. This year, our district will be focusing on the evidence-based Science of Reading. Additionally, we hope to reignite our strong PTA and we welcome your participation as a volunteer, PTA board member, or community partner. Finally, we believe that students are at their best when there is regular communication between their home and our school. We hope that you will partner with us to help your students achieve their goals and dreams. You can best help your child by conferencing with their teacher, helping them with their homework, attending our family events, ensuring they arrive at school on time each day ready to learn, and celebrating their successes at home.

Myself and the staff here at NHP are excited to serve your families this year! Please feel free to reach out to us with any questions so that we can help you and your child. We will see you at NHP and remember, Be Brave!

Thank you,

Kristin Rankin
