Eligibility Requirements for rising 6th, 7th and 8th graders:
6th, 7th and 8th graders must have passed 4 classes from the previous semester, 2 of which must be core classes (Math, Science, English, Social Studies). Also, must have established a 2.0 GPA at some point during their 5th, 6th, and or 7th grade years. If the current GPA is below 2.0 must attend study hall at least one day a week. If they do not attend they will not be eligible for participation for that week.

Completed (CMSL) Chesapeake Middle School League Physical:
Must be signed and dated by appropriate medical personnel beginning April 1st of the current year and turned into Mr. Waddell prior to beginning tryouts. Forms can be found on the Jolliff Middle School web page under “Athletics” and the Chesapeake Middle School League (CMSL) web page.

CPS Sporting Events Student Season Pass: Students can purchase a “Student Pass” for all Chesapeake Public Schools sporting events. These passes cost $20 and can be purchased online at The pass allows students access to all home and away middle school and high school sporting events. It is a great deal for the price!
