Graduation Update

The Governor’s executive order requiring ten feet of separation between guest groups at graduation ceremonies has been reduced to six feet. As a result, we will now be able to give each graduate SIX GUEST TICKETS for the graduation ceremony. Each group of six will be seated in assigned seats six feet apart from other groups.

We are excited to announce this change and are looking forward to celebrating the entire graduating class of 2021 at S.B. Ballard Stadium in June. For more information, please visit our district website at

High School Summer School

High school summer school classes will be offered online for Chesapeake Public Schools students only. Students must be enrolled in grades 8-12 during the 2020-2021 school year in order to attend. The high school summer learning program is designed to offer opportunities for students to repeat courses not successfully completed during the regular school year and afford students opportunities to remain on track with their graduation cohort. All classes are dependent on sufficient enrollment and the availability of qualified and appropriately endorsed instructional staff.
