Welcome From Our Principal- Jay Lewter

Dear Families,

On behalf of all of us here at Hickory Elementary School, I would like to welcome you to our school! It is a privilege to serve as principal of Hickory Elementary. Our school has an outstanding reputation, and I am proud to be part of such a wonderful legacy of excellence. Hickory Elementary is filled with enthusiastic students who are ready and willing to learn, supportive families who are interested and involved in their children’s education, and a caring and dedicated professional staff who are committed to providing children with a quality educational foundation for school and beyond.  I encourage each family to stay active in your child’s education. School is very much a partnership, and I hope that we will continue in that spirit throughout the school year. Communicate frequently with your child’s teacher, and with me. I realize that you lead busy lives, and it is often difficult to volunteer or visit school.  However, taking just a few minutes in the evening to read with your child, talk with your child about school, check your ParentVUE page, or simply see that your child is organized for the next school day can have great benefits. I want Hickory Elementary to be your child’s second favorite place to be, besides being home with you.

Have a wonderful school year!

Sincerely,

Jay Lewter

Principal
