NEW Vaccination Requirements beginning July 1, 2021
One dose of Tdap (tetanus, diphtheria, pertussis) and one dose of Meningococcal conjugate vaccine is required for all children entering the 7th grade who have not already received it. Human Papillomavirus (HPV) vaccine is also recommended for adolescents. For further information regarding immunizations, please visit the Virginia Department of Health website.
Medication During School Hours
Daily and emergency medications needed during school hours require appropriate documentation completed by a medical provider. New orders must be submitted at the beginning of every school year. Blank forms can be obtained through your child’s physician or you can find them on the CPS Website. Medication must be brought to the nurse by an adult, and may not be transported to/from school by the student.
Please note, there is no nurse at school before 8:30 a.m. and after 4:00 p.m. If your student will be participating in sports or after school programs, it is best you speak with your child’s physician to obtain a self-carry order for them to participate.
If you have any specific questions, please contact the nurse via the email link listed above.
