After School Study Hall

Because we are committed to ensure that each student will have every opportunity for success,
all Chesapeake Middle Schools will be supporting a study hall program this year. The Greenbrier
Middle School study hall will begin on Tuesday, November 30, 2021.

Your child is invited to join us on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 3:45 – 4:45 in the media
center for our study hall. The overall goal of the program is to provide assistance with
homework, review time for tests and quizzes, and a quiet environment to complete assignments
from the classroom. Tutors will be available to provide assistance with school work; however,
this is not a one-on-one or small group tutoring program.

Students should report directly to the media center after dismissal and should come prepared
with specific questions in areas of need or assignments to complete. Please be aware that if a
student consistently arrives unprepared or is a disruptive force, he or she will not be
allowed to continue to participate in study hall.

Bus transportation will NOT be provided.

Students attending study hall will need to have pre-arranged transportation. Participants will be
released to the front entrance of the building. Please arrange for pick-up no later than 4:45 p.m.
Repeated late pick-ups will result in students being unable to continue to attend study hall.

Students need to have a permission slip signed by their parents in order to participate.  Permission slips can be found in the main office.

We look forward to working with you and your child. If you have any questions regarding the
Study Hall Program, please contact Mrs. Megan Riley or Ms. Jennifer Nestle.
