Field of Valor

field of valor flag displayHampton Roads is an enormously patriotic community and home to innumerable armed forces service members. Saluting those members in recognition of Veterans Day is priceless in terms of the importance of honoring those who serve and have served to protect America over the years.

This year, Grassfield High School continues it construction of a Field of Valor. This project is aimed at generating a visual and heart-felt salute to military service members through a display of American flags. Individual miniature flags can be sponsored to recognize family, friends, and others who have dedicated their lives to protecting this nation and all of the freedoms afforded to each citizen.

Sponsoring a flag requires only a $2 donation. Flags are labeled with the name and rank along with branch of service for the member being honored. Please see the attached order form (pdf) for more information.  Email questions or requests for assistance to .
