Transportation Information

If your student will not ride a school bus to school, please adhere to this student drop off/pick up plan:

AM Parent Drop-Off will be “Drive-through” at the Drop-off/Pick-up Loop:

Parents will remain in their vehicles.  Students who are dropped off by their parents will be unloaded by staff members at the parent drop-off loop.  Parents will enter the second entrance on Albemarle Drive (Private Vehicle entrance).   Please follow the white arrows painted on the pavement to the Drop-off loop. Students will be escorted into the building beginning at 7:15 a.m. by designated staff members.  Staff members will be in the hallways each day to help students to their classrooms.

Afternoon Pick-Up will be “Drive-through” at the Drop-off/Pick-up Loop:

Parents should remain in their vehicles.  Students who are parent pickup will be escorted to the Parent Pick-up Loop.  Staff members are assigned to monitor, check in, and check out the students upon departure.  GBP has issued ALL students a Parent Pick Up Card decal.  This will be utilized for Everyday Pick Up and/or Early Dismissals.   The large decal should be displayed in the front windshield on the Driver’s side.  The student’s card will be attached on the student’s backpack.  GBP staff members will check the car window for the student’s number and students will be escorted to the car.

Early Dismissal

All parents who pick up students for an Early Dismissal must check in with the School Security Officer for a temperature check and complete the COVID Symptom checker.  The office staff will then verify the identity of the parent/guardian.  Bring picture identification or from a note sent in by the parent allowing a person other than parent/guardian to pick the student up.

Late Arrivals

Morning Preschool, Kindergarten, 1st, & 2nd grade students arriving after 7:35 a.m. are considered tardy.  Parents must accompany students to the front door to sign them in if they are tardy.
