  • Coding Club
      • Sponsor: Mrs. Herrera
        Location: Room 602
        Description: Beginning Coding using “Scratch.” Students will be using “Scratch” to learn the basics of coding.
        Cost: free

  • Drama Club – Club is full.

  • FBLA

        Location: Room 501
        Description: Future Business Leaders of America-Phi Beta Lambda, Inc. (FBLA-PBL) is the largest business Career and Technical Student Organization in the world. Each year, FBLA-PBL helps over 230,000 members prepare for careers in business.
        Cost: $9.00 dues to state and national organization
        Dates/Time: Wednesday Afterschool
        Limit: Students interested in careers in business or technology. No maximum.
  • Field Hockey Club

        Location: Gym/ outside
        Description: Learn field hockey skills
        Cost: none (Will need a mouth guard and shin guards)
        Dates/Times(Start/End): 2 days a week. After Basketball until Spring tryouts
  • Forensics Club

        Description: If you have an interest in poetry, prose, writing or speaking, this is the club for you!!
        Cost: No cost
        Dates/Times: Applications will be delivered to teachers mid-November. Try-outs will be December 6th. Practices (1-2 per week) will begin after the holiday break in January, and the season concludes in late February.
        Limit: 6-9 students will be chosen for the competition season.

        Description: Various games: board games, active games such as corn-hole, kickball etc.

  • Great Bridge Men’s Choir

        Location: Chorus Room (100)
        Days/Times: Wednesday and Friday mornings from 7:45am – 8:30am
        Description: This group is open to all baritones (low voices), or future baritones that are in chorus. 6th, 7th, and 8th graders are more than welcome to join. This group gives the chorus baritones an opportunity to sing together since there are not many baritones in the chorus program.

  • Lego Club

        Description: This club is designed to further enhance the love of LEGO and create MOC and learn from each other new techniques and tips. Students will have access to books and resources to create MOC’s.
        Cost: MOC creation will be the only cost and that will be on the desire of the students.
        Dates/Time: Monday after school until 4:30- throughout the school year

  • Orchestra Club

        Location: Orchestra Room
        Description: Wildcat Orchestra is an extracurricular orchestra designed for string students in grades 6-8 who have at least 1 1/2-2 years experience and are willing to learn and perform extra music, in addition to their school music. Students may be asked to perform at community and school events, as well as concerts (subject to change due to Covid).
        Cost: Free
        Dates/Times: Tuesday’s and Wednesday’s (might add additional days) from 8:15am – 8:45am
        Limit: This group is only open to students currently enrolled in orchestra.
  • Peer Connect

        Description: It is a club where we talk about friendships, peer pressure, dating and everything else middle school kids think about!

  • Puppetry Club

        Location: Rm 813
        Description: Puppetry – Come Learn the Art of Puppetry. We’ll learn the basics to be able to put on skits to entertain and educate. It will be fun!

  • Running Club

        Location: We will meet in the main gym and then go outside from there.
        Description: To promote a healthy lifestyle

        Dates/Times: Tuesday and Thursday beginning in January and going until track tryouts in March. We will meet in the main gym and then go outside from there.
        Time: 3:45-4:15, Parents will pick up in back parent drop off area
  • Safe School Ambassadors

        Description: SSA – Safe School Ambassadors > Safe School Ambassadors is a program designed to equip student leaders with skills to prevent and stop bullying and mistreatment. Students learn intervention strategies to resolve conflicts, defuse incidents, and support fellow classmates. Students gain confidence in their ability to intervene when they witness mistreatment.

        Description: Select Treble Chorus is an auditioned group for Sopranos and Altos in Chorus at Great Bridge Middle School. In this group, students will be given more difficult music and an additional opportunity to sing with others.

  • Wildcat Chat PAWdcast

        Description: The Wildcat Chat PAWdcast is our school’s podcast! A podcast is a form of digital audio, much like a radio show, that can be downloaded or streamed anytime and anywhere. The Wildcat Chat PAWdcast is about life at GBMS! It is created and co-hosted by GBMS students and topics are selected by the students which are meaningful to their middle school experience. Join in the fun as we discuss a day in the life of a GBMS Wildcat. You will hear from students, teachers, and GBMS community members too.
