Hurricane Florence and the evacuation of Zone A will not affect the GBHS Open House Event! This Open House event provides parents the opportunity to meet their student’s teachers. Strategically scheduled two weeks into the year (or halfway through the first marking period!), you can learn about the teacher’s expectations, follow up on start of the year procedures, and find out about other opportunities for students both inside and outside of the classroom.
Great Bridge High School is proud to support the many military families that move into the division! We are currently navigating the channels towards obtaining Purple Star designation by the Virginia Department of Education. As part of the efforts to best support our military families, we are currently developing a page to add to our website to provide answers to the many questions you may have when choosing a community within Hampton Roads to call home. We hope to publish that page soon – in the meantime, please visit our Chesapeake Public Schools Military Family Resource site.
Every week, we update our website with information on how you can directly support Great Bridge High School students and faculty! Visit our PTSA page to learn the latest information on:
- Read our PTSA President’s Welcome Back Letter to learn more about the PTSA at GBHS and how you can get involved!
- How you can help welcome our teachers back to a new school year at our annual PTSA breakfast. Visit our sign-up genius to donate food and time!
- Information on this year’s PTA Reflections contest. Student entries are due no later than October 26, 2018!
- Directions on how you can “un-fundraise” for GBHS! Link your grocery savings cards and other easy ways to support GBHS!
