The 2018 Wildcat yearbook will be here Wednesday, May 30th! If you ordered a yearbook, Seniors ONLY may get their yearbook during all lunches on Wednesday, May 30th. Underclassmen may get their yearbook during all lunches on Thursday, May 31st. If you did not order a yearbook, you’re in luck. We received extra copies that may be purchased during homeroom ONLY from June 1st-June 8th from Mrs. Cirilli in room 409. Please bring $80 cash to purchase your copy.
Each senior will receive 15 tickets (at no cost ). Tickets will be available for pick-up during lunches (date TBA). If you know that you will require more than 15 tickets, please complete this additional grad ticket request form, print it, and deliver it to the GBHS main office no later than Friday, June 1.
An informational assembly was held during second block on Wednesday, March 28 for all seniors. Important information about prom, graduation, and other end-of-the-year senior events and opportunities were discussed. Seniors received copies of the Prom permission slip, the Senior Newsletter, and After Prom permission slips for seniors . The End of Course SOL Testing window will begin May 17, 2018 and extend through June 11, 2018. All testing dates have been posted to our online calendar. Review sessions are planned and delivered by licensed teachers currently teaching SOL courses at Great Bridge High School. Each study session will begin at 3:45pm and end at 4:30pm. Transportation home is available to any student in need via the afternoon activity bus. There are 2 SOL Power Sessions offered (Earth Science & Biology) and those two sessions will last 2 hours – both beginning at 3:45pm – students must RSVP to secure their seat for the power session. Chesapeake Public Schools is happy to announce the availability of Office 365 Pro Plus at no charge to all Chesapeake Public School (CPS) students for use on personal computer equipment.
The licensing allows the installation of the software on up to five compatible PC and/or MAC computers. In addition, a simplified version of the software may be installed on up to five tablet/mobile devices. The license will remain active as long as the division maintains this agreement and as long as you are a CPS student. Once the student withdraws from the division, they are no longer legally licensed to use the software.
In October 2017, when voting for Homecoming King & Queen, the senior class were afforded the opportunity to vote on the After Prom Theme and provide vital feedback on the prizes and food offered at this post-prom event! The seniors chose “RED CARPET GLAMOUR”!

The athletic program at Great Bridge High School has been recognized as one of the best in the Commonwealth for decades. In an effort to maintain high standards and support our athletic program, the IPTAY program was established to provide financial resources to Wildcat athletic programs.
