The Chesapeake Public School Responsive Return-to-School Taskforce has led the collaborative effort to define what education will look like in Chesapeake Public Schools as we move into the 2020-21 school year. Chesapeake’s goal is to bring all students back to school, and it is our hope that the COVID-19 situation will improve allowing us to return to normal operations. Until that time, a great deal of uncertainty remains. We believe it is important to consider the needs of all of our students and the unique situations each family faces during this time. Families must make their choice beginning July 9, 2020, through July 21, 2020, using ParentVUE.
Attention Wildcat Students! If you want any of your second semester final letter grades to be changed to a P so that it won’t affect your GPA, please fill out this form completely. If you are requesting more than one course/final grade be changed to a P, you will need to complete this form for each request. Seniors have until June 30, 2020 to make this request. Underclassmen have until January 2021 to make this request.
Chesapeake Public Schools will operate on an adjusted work week starting June 22, 2020. The main office will be open Monday-Thursday from 7:30 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. All school buildings and offices will be closed Fridays.
Wildcats- members of the Classes of 2020, 2021, 2022, and 2023! If you have school materials (library books, textbooks, English novels, calculators, Chromebooks, uniforms, etc.) that you need to return, please bring them to the GBHS main office during the week of June 15-19, between 8am-4pm. Thank you!
Please visit the Chesapeake Public Schools webpage on the Coronavirus Information and Updates for the latest information on the district’s response to the Coronavirus pandemic.
Seniors: If you haven’t filed a FAFSA, now is the time! Mrs. Moorhouse can file the FAFSA for you while school is closed.
She will set up a phone appointment to submit the FAFSA for you so that you don’t miss out on financial aid next year.
For more information on the FAFSA process, review this information provided by Mrs. Moorhouse!

Great Bridge High School is proud to support the many military families that move into the division! We were recently awarded the Purple Star designation by the Virginia Department of Education. As part of the efforts to best support our military families, we have developed a page to add to our website to provide answers to the many questions you may have when choosing a community within Hampton Roads to call home. Please find that new page here and linked in our main menu.
