Our district convenes multiple advisory committees to focus on data, analyze problems, and make recommendations to the Superintendent and School Board.
Participation is contingent upon selection by each committee. Selection criteria are based on requirements by state or federal guidelines and the work of the committee. Citizens must apply for appointed membership. Application windows typically open in the spring.

To be considered for a vacant position on a Citizens’ Advisory Committee, applicants must be a Chesapeake resident unless otherwise noted in School Board Policy 5-18. Committee members will be selected by the committee and appointed by the Superintendent.
