Chesapeake Public Schools is committed to providing engaging learning experiences for students during a district closing. The Division of Teaching & Learning has developed Emergency Learning Plans for priority content areas to ensure students remain engaged with course content during extended school closure.
These plans provide a variety of “at home” learning experiences for students to apply prior knowledge of course content. Students may provide evidence of completing the activities in the Learning Plans upon returning to school. We encourage students to work on these activities at a pace that works best for your family. No additional work will be assigned and no grades will be posted to Synergy during the closure period.
Paper copies of Emergency Learning Plans will be available for pick-up at all schools on Monday, March 16, 2020, from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. and beginning on Tuesday, March 17, 2020, at our food distribution locations.
CPS communication tools (Synergy and email) may be used to maintain contact with teachers.
