The Read-a-thon is a school-wide fundraiser that encourages
children to read more while raising funds for literacy instruction in our school.
We’re hoping each student can raise a minimum of $25 by requesting pledges from family and friends. Our challenge as a school is to reach $20,000. The process is easy! Here’s how:
- Step 1: Follow this link on your personal computer, smart phone, or tablet.
- Step 2: Type your child’s name in the “search for participant” bar.
- Step 3: Share your donation page via Facebook, Twitter, other social media, and/or use the email link on the web page to reach out to friends and family to request their support.
- Step 4: Follow our progress as we strive to reach and surpass our goal of $20,000.
In addition to online donations, we will accept cash or checks.
Send these donations to school in an envelope and label it Attn: Read-A-Thon.
Please include your child’s name and their teacher’s name.
Checks should be made payable to Deep Creek Elementary.
100% of cash or check donations go to our school.
-$25 Barnes and Noble gift card for the top earner in each grade level
-Class pizza party for the top earning class (K-2, 3-5)
-Read-In event for students meeting or exceeding the $25 individual goal
**Meet the $20,000 school goal and students will tape Dr. Brown to the wall. Each student who meets or exceeds the $25 goal will receive a piece of duct tape to secure him to the wall.**
