Principal- Dr. White

Dr. White, Principal

Welcome from the administration of Deep Creek Central Elementary!

Our principal, Dr. White, considers it a great honor to serve Deep Creek Central Elementary
School. The previous school administrations have left a strong legacy of success that he is
committed to upholding. Dr. White is a husband and father of three elementary school-age
children: Miles, Allie, and Owen. He is a graduate of Old Dominion University, University of
Virginia, and Virginia Tech. He comes to DCCE with 15 years of experience in public education.
Dr. White taught chorus, computer exploratory, and general music at the middle and
elementary school levels in Virginia Beach and Norfolk Public Schools. He also was a
Technology Integration Specialist (ITRT) with Norfolk Public Schools at the building and district
level. He has 7 years of experience as an assistant principal and principal. Dr. White most
recently was the principal at Tarrallton Elementary School in Norfolk. His focus there was on
quality teaching and learning built on strong relationships with the students, staff, and
community. In 2018 while principal at Tarrallton, similar to DCCE, the school earned the
Virginia Department of Education’s Purple Star Award for support of Military Connected
Students and families.

Dr. White makes it a point each day to make connections for the teachers and students to our
vision. You may hear your child use the verbs: inspired, engaged, and empowered. These are
key terms that we will be incorporating from the Chesapeake Public Schools Empower 2025
Strategic Plan.

Dr. White values quality teaching and learning, customer service, leading through service, and
community support. If you’d like to reach him, his email is .
