Science Textbook Adoption
![]() |
The Chesapeake Public Schools Science Department is seeking parent and community input for the citywide adoption of the new K–8 science textbooks. Citizens are invited to examine the proposed textbooks and provide feedback. The window of opportunity to submit community feedback on science textbooks extends from November 23, 2020 through January 15, 2021.
This year, the Science textbook review process will be conducted 100% online. A full list of textbook candidates have been curated by our Elementary Science Supervisor, Ms. Adrienne Sawyer, and our Secondary Science Supervisor, Mr. Ryan Wieck. The list links to online samples of the textbook resources currently under review. We request that citizens provide their feedback using the 2020 Science Textbook Adoption Public Feedback Survey. |
