School Closings and Delays

Chesapeake Public Schools is committed to the safety and security of our students, staff, and visitors. We work closely with national, state, and local safety officials to ensure that our facilities are prepared to handle an emergency. In the event of school closures due to weather or other emergencies, or if school operating hours change, parents and staff will be notified via our Parent Alert System (PAS) and transcripts of those messages will be available here. In addition to the PAS message, updated information will be shared on our Emergency Information webpage.
