Congratulations to Matthew Lawrence from Indian River High School and Fallon Graham from Hickory High School. Both have been recognized by the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) for their outstanding contributions to high school athletics.
Matthew Lawrence was named the 2017-2018 Mideast Coach of the Year for boys volleyball. Coach Lawrence was selected from a group comprised of volleyball coaches covering the states of Delaware, the District of Columbia, Kentucky, Maryland, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia, and West Virginia.
Fallon Graham was named the 2017-2018 Virginia Coach of the Year for girls gymnastics. Coach Lawrence and Coach Graham are leaders in their sports and contribute in positive ways to their communities.
