Charlie Stukes Inducted into VHSL’s Hall of Fame

Picture of Charlie StukesCongratulations to Charlie Stukes, former Chesapeake Public Schools (CPS) assistant principal and coach, recently named to the Virginia High School League’s (VHSL) Hall of Fame Class of 2018.  Coach Stukes attended Crestwood High School and was a multi-sports star, earning All-State status in football, basketball, baseball, and track.  While at Maryland State College, he was a three-time All-Central Intercollegiate Athletic Association (CIAA) defensive back and earned All-American status in baseball batting .492 and .489 in his junior and senior years.  Part of two Baltimore Colts Super Bowl teams, he completed his football career with the Los Angeles Rams.  While at CPS, he was head football coach at Oscar Smith High School before becoming an assistant principal.
